. This SAS (Specialty and Associate Specialist) doctor role is critical to the daily operations of the haematology department, offering a fantastic balance of inpatient ward care, outpatient clinic management, and laboratory reporting. It provides an excellent pathway for professional development, including potential support for the CESR route for dedicated physicians.

• Conduct routine and urgent haematology outpatient clinics, managing both malignant and non-malignant blood disorders under Consultant guidance.
• Perform essential diagnostic procedures, including bone marrow biopsies and aspirates.
• Prescribe and monitor complex chemotherapy regimens for haemato-oncology patients.
• Provide robust middle-grade support to the haematology ward, ensuring excellent patient care and smooth clinical handovers.

• Full Registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) and a valid licence to practise.
• Significant post-graduate clinical experience in Haematology at the middle-grade or Specialty Doctor level.
• MRCP (UK) or equivalent qualification is highly desirable, along with excellent clinical communication skills.
