Full-time | Long-term or Permanent opportunity available.

We are currently supporting a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Hemel Hempstead who are seeking a creative, resilient, and passionate Art Teacher to join their team from September. This is a full-time role, with the flexibility of a long-term contract or a permanent appointment, depending on the successful candidate.

This is a unique and highly rewarding opportunity to use the power of art and creativity to engage young people who face barriers to mainstream education. You will play a key role in helping students express themselves, build confidence, and develop positive relationships with learning through a creative curriculum.

Requirements
  • A valid DBS check on the Update Service is preferred.
  • Previous experience working with children or young people with behavioural needs, SEMH, or within alternative provisions/PRUs is highly desirable.
  • A calm, patient, and resilient approach with strong behaviour management skills.
  • The ability to build rapport quickly and maintain professional boundaries.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A flexible attitude and commitment to supporting students who may have faced barriers to education.
