About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic and skilled Year 4/5 Class Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Hemel Hempstead from September 2026. This is a full-time role, offering an excellent opportunity to inspire and engage pupils within Key Stage 2 in a nurturing and forward-thinking environment.
The successful candidate will be passionate about delivering creative, well-structured and differentiated learning experiences that support pupils’ academic progress, personal development and confidence. You will play a key role in fostering a love of learning, strengthening core skills, and promoting positive learning behaviours.

Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging, creative and well-differentiated lessons for a mixed Year 4/5 class.
Ensure strong progress in core subjects, particularly English and Mathematics, as well as foundation subjects.
Use assessment effectively to track progress and inform next steps in learning.
Create a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment.
Support pupils’ personal, social and emotional development.
Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and parents/carers.
Contribute to wider school life, enrichment activities and school events.
Maintain high expectations for behaviour, attainment and engagement.
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
Experience teaching within Key Stage 2 (Year 4 or Year 5 desirable).
Strong understanding of the primary curriculum and effective differentiation.
Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
A creative, reflective and proactive approach to teaching.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
