We are seeking an SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive special school in Hemel Hempstead. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a dedicated team that provides tailored support to pupils, helping them develop their confidence, communication, and independence in a nurturing environment.

This is a full-time position starting in September, working Monday to Friday, 8:30am-4:00pm.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEND.
  • Support pupils with their learning, communication, and personal development.
  • Assist in delivering engaging and inclusive activities.
  • Encourage positive behaviours and promote independence.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff.
  • Follow safeguarding procedures at all times.
What we're looking for

Essential

  • Previous SEND experience (3 months).
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
  • Right to work in the UK.

Desirable

  • Experience working within a school environment.
  • Level 3 or Bachelor's Degree.
  • Weekly PAYE pay.
