The Role

You will inspire students through engaging, practical, and thought-provoking Science lessons, helping them develop a deeper understanding of the world around them while building confidence in scientific enquiry.

  • Deliver dynamic lessons across Biology, Chemistry and Physics that challenge and motivate students
  • Develop students' practical skills by planning safe and engaging laboratory activities
  • Adapt teaching strategies to support learners with a wide range of abilities and learning styles
  • Analyse assessment data to identify next steps and implement effective intervention strategies
  • Encourage scientific curiosity through STEM activities, enrichment opportunities, and extracurricular clubs
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour, achievement, and participation in lessons
  • Work closely with colleagues to contribute to departmental initiatives and curriculum development
About You
  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching Science across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 teaching welcomed but not essential
  • Passionate about inspiring the next generation of scientists
  • Confident in delivering engaging practical and theoretical lessons
  • A collaborative practitioner with excellent communication and organisational skills
