We are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming, ambitious, and inclusive school in Hemel Hempstead for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team. This is an amazing opportunity for a patient, caring, and enthusiastic individual who will be helping children thrive both academically and socially.
The RoleAs a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including Autism (ASC), ADHD, and speech and language needs.
- Work closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging, inclusive, and accessible lessons.
- Provide 1:1 and/or small group support, adapting daily activities to meet individual learning needs.
- Encourage pupils' independence, confidence, and social development during learning sessions, therapies, and playtimes.
- Maintain a safe, positive, and stimulating learning environment where every child can progress and succeed.
- Previous experience working with children in the UK is essential; experience supporting children with SEND, Autism, ADHD, or other additional needs is desirable.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A calm, patient, caring, and resilient approach.
- A positive attitude and a genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.

Pay rate is dependent on qualifications, experience and skills.
