We are looking for a Structural Engineer with 2+ years’ experience to join our growing Hemel Hempstead office.
This role offers exposure to projects across a range of sectors, including residential, commercial, education, and energy. You will work collaboratively from concept through completion and receive clear support towards Chartered status (IStruct
E/ICE) and long-term career progression.

- Assist in the delivery of structural engineering projects across a range of sectors
- Prepare structural calculations, drawings, and technical specifications
- Work on designs in steel, concrete, timber, and masonry
- Collaborate with senior engineers, technicians, and external stakeholders
- Attend design team meetings with architects, clients, and contractors
- Support project delivery from initial concept through to construction
- Contribute to sustainable and efficient design solutions
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards, regulations, and CDM requirements
- Utilise design software such as Tekla, Tedds, or similar
Job Requirements
- Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Minimum 2+ years’ UK consultancy experience
- Working towards Chartered status (IStruct
E or ICE) - Experience designing in a range of traditional materials
- Good understanding of structural design principles and building structures
- Familiarity with industry software (e.g. Tekla, Tedds, AutoCAD)
- Exposure to BIM environments is advantageous
- Strong communication skills and ability to work within a team
- Full UK driving licence (preferred)
