An Oxford-based multidisciplinary consultancy, offering engineering, design, and surveying expertise to the construction industry, is looking to appoint a Transport Planner to join their growing team on a hybrid working basis. The firm supports clients through every stage of a project and brings broad experience across a wide range of sectors.
This is an excellent opportunity for a driven transport planner to work across a varied portfolio of projects, from initial assessment through to delivery, within a business that offers close collaboration with other disciplines and a genuinely varied workload.
The Role:
Producing Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, and Travel Plans in support of planning applications
Undertaking junction and site access modelling and capacity assessments
Providing technical transport input across the full project lifecycle, from feasibility through to construction
Working closely with project managers, other disciplines, and clients to ensure projects are delivered on time and to specification
Liaising with local authorities and statutory bodies where required
What's
Required:
A degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, or a related field
Proven experience in a similar transport planning role
Strong working knowledge of relevant modelling software (e.g. Junctions 9/ARCADY/PICADY, Lin Sig) and UK planning/transport standards
Chartered status (or working towards, e.g. TPS/CIHT) would be an advantage
Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
