Would you like to work for a consultancy that provides multi‑disciplinary services in areas including Structural and Civil Engineering, Building Surveying, Land Surveying, Transport and Highway Engineering?
This is a permanent position within the Structural Engineering team based at our office in Hemel Hempstead. The role is aimed at a candidate with 4+ years of UK experience in building structure design as a minimum, ideally more.
The firm has around 100 staff across several office locations and offers a friendly and supportive working environment, resulting in good morale and a low staff turnover. We are committed to training, from on‑job software updates and design techniques to Chartered status programmes and external short courses. Our breadth of skills and experienced staff create an excellent environment for new staff to undertake varied and rewarding tasks and expand their knowledge.
Responsibilities- Design of building structures, including large framed commercial and residential projects
- Foundation design and assessment
- Building defect audits for insurance purposes and litigation resolution
The team is highly motivated and committed to the delivery of successful projects. This ethos has resulted in an expanding workload and the requirement for another capable and experienced engineer. A suitable candidate will enjoy their work and the challenges provided. They will eventually manage all aspects of successful project delivery, including structural design and client liaison.
You will be involved in a variety of building structures projects across different sectors and working with a range of materials. You will liaise with clients and other design team members, so excellent communication skills are essential.

RequirementsCandidates who already live within sensible commuting distance will be given priority. A UK driving licence is essential. Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
