Overview
Structural Engineer – Hemel Hempstead. This is a permanent position within the Structural Engineering team based at the office in Hemel Hempstead. The firm provides multi-disciplinary services in Structural and Civil Engineering, Building Surveying, Land Surveying, Transport and Highway Engineering. The firm has over 50 staff and offers a friendly, supportive working environment with ongoing training opportunities and a potential path to Chartered status.
Responsibilities- Design of structures, including large framed commercial and residential projects
- Foundation design and assessment
- Building defect audits for insurance purposes and litigation resolution
- In time, manage all aspects of successful delivery of projects, including structural design and client liaison
- Work on a variety of buildings projects in differing sectors and materials; liaise with clients and other design team members requiring excellent communication skills
- 2–4 years of general building structures design experience
- Tekla and/or Master series experience would be useful
- Ability to work effectively with clients and design team members
- Strong communication skills and ability to work across different materials and project types
