Senior Structural Revit Technician – Hemel Hempstead, UK
RSK Land & Development and Engineering (LDE) Ltd, part of the RSK Group, offers an exciting opportunity for a Senior Structural Revit Technician to join their growing team in Hemel Hempstead.
Responsibilities- Drafting Technician within design team on designated projects, reporting to Principal Engineer.
- Assisting in the preparation of structural drawings and design using Revit and other proprietary design software.
- Understanding role within design team and timescales for undertaking required works.
- Understanding and appreciating the role of other design team members (Architect, M&E Engineer, Client, etc).
- Keeping up to date with changes in legislation, codes of practice, design codes and proprietary suppliers.
- Understanding programme coordination, communication and LDE involvement to ensure satisfactory project delivery.
- Maintaining and developing technical or management capability through CPD, attending internal and external seminars regularly.
- Implementing RSK’s HERRR, Quality and SHEQMS procedures at project level.
- Assisting in issuing project documents via email and cloud‑based coordination software.
- Being aware of project deadlines and allocated time to work items.
- Working knowledge of Revit.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
- On‑going experience in drawing production in accordance with standard procedures.
- Practical understanding of structural engineering principles.
- Knowledge of NHBC Standards.
- Knowledge of Building Regulations.
- Technician with relevant work experience.
- Prior knowledge of the full engineering/development process.
- Working towards a degree or HNC level.
- Self‑motivated and ambitious.
- Strong self‑management of time and work.
- Strong team player with an energetic outlook that motivates others.
- Experienced in Microsoft products including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Effective communication skills.
