Senior Geoenvironmental Consultant
Location:
Hemel Hempstead
Salary: £40,000 - £60,000
A leading multidisciplinary consultancy is looking to appoint a Senior Geoenvironmental Consultant to join their growing team in Hemel Hempstead. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced geoenvironmental professional looking for a varied role with strong technical and project management responsibilities.
The Role:
- Managing and delivering geoenvironmental and contaminated land projects
- Producing Phase 1 and Phase 2 reports
- Planning and supervising ground investigations
- Reviewing and interpreting ground investigation and laboratory data
- Developing conceptual site models and assessing contamination risks
- Supporting remediation strategies and validation
- Liaising with clients, contractors, regulators and other stakeholders
- Mentoring junior members of the team
- Supporting project management, budgets and programme delivery
The Candidate:
- Degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Engineering Geology or a related discipline
- Strong experience within geoenvironmental consultancy
- Good understanding of contaminated land and UK environmental legislation
- Experience with Phase 1/2 investigations and technical reporting
- Ground investigation and site supervision experience
- Strong communication and project management skills
- Ideally working towards or holding Chartered status with a relevant professional body
