Job summary

Join our Occupational Therapy team and take a leading role in delivering high-quality rehabilitation to patients with a range of complex and multiple conditions.

As Occupational Therapy Team Lead, you will work as an integral member of the multidisciplinary team on a general rehabilitation ward, providing highly specialised assessment, treatment and expert clinical advice. You will support patients to maximise their independence, achieve their rehabilitation goals and make progress towards the best possible outcomes.

You will also work closely with the OT Lead to develop the service and strengthen integrated working with health and social care partners.

This is an opportunity to use your specialist clinical expertise, support the development of colleagues and contribute to the delivery of evidence-based, person-centred care across Hertfordshire.

You will provide a specialist occupational therapy resource for colleagues across the service, sharing your knowledge and expertise to support high standards of practice.

Main duties of the jobAs Occupational Therapy Team Lead, you will:

Work as an active member of the multidisciplinary inpatient rehabilitation team, supporting patients with multiple and complex conditions.

Provide highly specialised occupational therapy assessment and treatment, using evidence-based approaches to support individual rehabilitation goals.

Provide expert occupational therapy advice, guidance and information to health and social care professionals, carers, relatives and other relevant individuals.

Act as a specialist clinical resource for Occupational Therapy colleagues and other healthcare professionals across Hertfordshire.

Support the OT Lead with service development and initiatives that strengthen integrated working with partner organisations.

Share specialist knowledge and contribute to the development of occupational therapy practice across the service.

Promote person-centred care and collaborative working to support safe, effective and high-quality rehabilitation.

Contribute to a positive learning environment, supporting colleagues to develop their clinical knowledge and skills.

You will have the opportunity to influence practice, contribute to service development and make a meaningful difference to patients during their rehabilitation journey.
