Salary: £35,000
Are you an experienced construction recruiter looking to move away from sales targets and commission-driven recruitment?
We’re recruiting for a Trades & Labour Recruiter to join a highly respected national plant hire and haulage organisation. You’ll focus on sourcing, onboarding and coordinating skilled operatives for major projects across the UK.
This is a busy, people-focused role where you’ll build strong talent pipelines, support workforce planning and ensure the right operatives are available when projects need them.
Key responsibilities
- Source and engage skilled trades, labour and plant operatives
- Grow and maintain an active candidate database
- Manage candidate screening, compliance, inductions and onboarding
- Coordinate the timely placement of operatives across UK projects
- Handle high-volume calls and communication with candidates and site teams
- Maintain accurate candidate and workforce information across internal systems
- Build strong relationships with operational teams and external stakeholders
- Work towards agreed resourcing and candidate pipeline KPIs
What we’re looking for
- Previous recruitment experience within the construction industry is essential
- Experience recruiting trades, labour, plant or site-based operatives would be advantageous
- Strong candidate-sourcing and relationship-building skills
- Confident working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- High attention to detail and confidence using databases and Excel
- A proactive approach with the ability to make sound decisions
