Data Lead

We’re currently looking for an experienced Data Lead to join a major digitisation programme on an initial 6-month contract that is OUTSIDE IR35. This is a hybrid role that requires 3 days a week on site - if you cannot do that then please do not apply.

This role will take ownership of the data workstream within a wider transformation initiative focused on implementing a new LIMS platform and building solid data foundations for future growth, efficiency and commercial opportunities.

• Mapping and assessing existing laboratory data landscapes
• Shaping data architecture to support LIMS implementation
• Defining structured data requirements and standards
• Driving data governance, ownership and compliance
• Supporting the design of data for future digital products and analytics
• Leading the data workstream end‑to‑end, including risks, milestones and reporting

• Strong experience leading data work streams or enterprise data initiatives
• Solid understanding of both structured and unstructured data environments
• Experience supporting system implementations with clear data requirements
• Ability to operate in regulated or compliance‑driven settings
• Confident engaging across technical and operational stakeholders

Exposure to LIMS, laboratory environments or digital product development would be a huge benefit in this role.
