About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Warehouse Manager to join our team in Hemel Hempstead. This is a key leadership role where you will oversee the implementation of a state-of-the-art storage system (Kardex or equivalent), managing the project from inception to completion, and then leading the day-to-day operations of the warehouse.

This role is ideal for someone with experience in highly automated or advanced warehouse environments.

Key Responsibilities as a Warehouse Manager:

Lead the implementation of the new storage system (Kardex or alternative), managing the project from start to finish.
Oversee and optimise warehouse operations once the system is live.
Ensure seamless integration of automation and storage technology into daily workflows.
Develop and enforce operational procedures, health & safety standards, and inventory management practices.
Manage a team of warehouse staff, fostering a culture of efficiency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Monitor KPIs, analyse performance, and implement improvements where necessary.

Requirements of a Warehouse Manager:

Proven experience managing warehouses, preferably with exposure to highly automated environments.
Demonstrable experience implementing Kardex or similar automated storage/retrieval systems.
Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee implementations.
Excellent leadership and team management capabilities.
Comfortable with operational and strategic responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
