We’re looking for a commercially focused Branch Manager to lead our specialist timber site in Hemel Hempstead.

This is a brilliant opportunity to run an established, successful branch within a business known for quality, service and deep product knowledge. You’ll be hands‑on with your team, visible to customers and fully accountable for performance — driving growth while keeping the culture strong, supportive and customer‑first.

• Leading the day-to-day operation of the branch across sales, service, stock and people
• Working alongside your team to deliver expert advice and build lasting customer relationships
• Growing the business through local engagement and proactive sales activity
• Maintaining high standards in stock accuracy, product quality and Health & Safety
• Coaching and developing your team to be at their best
• Ensuring our specialist timber services are delivered efficiently and professionally

• Management experience within a timber or builders’ merchant environment
• Strong technical knowledge of timber products
• A hands‑on, visible leadership style
• Commercial awareness and the ability to drive performance
• A strong focus on customer service and team development
• A proactive, organised and down‑to‑earth approach
