We are seeking compassionate, confident and motivated Charge Nurses to join our team s is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference to the lives of individuals living with dementia, while supporting the development and wellbeing of the ward team.

As a key member of the nursing leadership team, you will play a central role in ensuring the delivery of safe, therapeutic and person-centred care. You will provide visible and supportive leadership on the ward, act as a clinical role model, and support junior colleagues to develop their skills and confidence.

The Charge Nurses’ key role is to provide local clinical leadership to the teamunder the direction ofthe teamleader.

The Chargenursewill:

• Be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation andevaluationofcareforservice users.
• Berequiredtoteachothernursingandnon-nursing personnel.
• Bearolemodelthroughtheirowngoodpractise.
• Beresponsibleformaintainingclinical standards,andteamsystemsunder the direction ofthe teamleader.
• Assist the team leader in maintaining effective team working processes,includingoutcomemeasures.
• Beexpectedtodeputiseforthe Team Leaderintheir  absence.
• To manage the ward/unit resources and clinical environment duringtheirshift.

In addition to managing the clinical aspects of being a Band 6 Charge Nurse, the post holder will take an active part in the assessment, treatment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care for service users in collaboration with inpatient multi-disciplinary services. Liaising with colleagues and carers, ensuring they are fully aware of all aspects of a service users’ care and treatment.
