We’re looking for an Assistant Property Manager to join our residential lettings team in Hemel Hempstead
. As part of the Property Management team, you’ll help manage a shared portfolio of residential properties, playing a key role in delivering a smooth, professional, and reassuring experience for both landlords and tenants.
This is a hands-on role where no two days look the same — perfect for someone who enjoys responsibility, autonomy, and being right at the heart of property management.
You’ll be involved across the full lifecycle of residential property management, including:
- Managing day-to-day operations of a varied residential portfolio, ensuring properties are safe, compliant, and well cared for
- Supporting landlords and tenants
, building positive relationships and handling queries or issues with confidence and empathy - Coordinating maintenance and repairs
, instructing contractors, overseeing works, carrying out property visits and mid-term inspections, and ensuring high standards are always met - Overseeing financial processes
, including rent collection, reporting, rent guarantees and associated claims - Ensuring full compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements
- Handling renewals and terminations
, including inspections, deposit dilapidations and dispute management
You’ll already have experience in residential property management and a solid understanding of lettings processes. More than anything, you’ll care about delivering a consistently excellent experience.
You’ll be a great fit if you:
- Take a professional, customer-first approach
- Build rapport easily and communicate clearly, especially over the phone
- Are highly organised and comfortable managing multiple priorities
- Stay calm under pressure and enjoy problem-solving
- Have experience dealing with maintenance issues, safety certificates, and statutory notices (including Section 8 & Section 21)
A full driving licence and your own vehicle are essential. An ARLA qualification would be advantageous but isn’t essential.
