A Scientist opportunity has arisen with an established, innovative organisation working on cutting-edge detection technology used in some of the world's most security-critical environments. Are you a hands-on, technically curious scientist who is ready to take on a role where your work genuinely matters?
The Role
The Scientist will take ownership of a broad range of scientific activities supporting a market-leading detection product through its ongoing development and evolution. Day to day, this means designing and carrying out experimental investigations, critically evaluating results, building and adapting laboratory equipment, and translating findings into practical improvements — including developing the algorithms that underpin how the product responds to newly identified threats.
The role also involves engaging directly with internal teams, customers, and end users, presenting technical findings clearly to a range of audiences.
This is not a purely bench-based position. Alongside strong laboratory skills, the successful candidate will bring genuine hands-on experience of troubleshooting, modifying, and understanding the inner workings of scientific instruments — not just operating them. Occasional off-site work to support trials and field testing may also be required.
