Location: HMP THE MOUNT – Bovingdon, Hemel Hempstead HP3 0NZ

Salary: £39,579.20‑£43,177.30 plus £1,000 in RRA per annum and 5% shift allowance

Contract: Full time / Permanent (2 positions available)

We are seeking a dedicated Electrician to join our team at HMP The Mount, a Category C and Adult/Male prison. Join a team that works Monday‑Sunday as a supportive and driven family, working together to create a safe and nurturing environment. As an Electrician, you will work alongside experienced and passionate colleagues from various trades to maintain safe and secure facilities that impact prisoners, staff and the wider community.

Provide electrical maintenance, repairs and project work across the prison, support preventive maintenance operations, and collaborate with other trades to ensure safe living and working conditions.

• Two years' experience working as an electrician
• Experience working on commercial or industrial electrical systems
• Good working knowledge of planned preventive maintenance operations
• Electrician qualified to C&G 2367 or 2357 (Electrical Installation) and NVQ level 3 in Electrical Installations or equivalent
• Knowledge of the 18th Edition of BS7671
• Certificate in BS7671
• Good Health & Safety knowledge
• Excellent organisational, time management and people skills
