Our client, a highly reputable and fast-growing building engineering services provider, is looking to expand their team with an experienced and ambitious Air Conditioning Engineer. The Role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the successful candidate will carry out a mix of maintenance, servicing, diagnostics and repairs across a range of systems—including VRFs, split-type air conditioning units and refrigeration equipment.

You will also be involved in installations, testing, commissioning and completing required documentation to ensure compliance. This is a varied, fast-paced role where no two days are the same, and you’ll be part of a skilled, friendly team that prides itself on delivering best-in-class service.

Key Responsibilities

* Perform routine planned maintenance, inspections and service works

* Diagnose faults, identify issues and carry out repairs proactively and efficiently

* Demonstrate strong knowledge of F-Gas requirements

* Test AC installations in line with regulations, recording results via digital systems

* Install and commission new AC systems (heating and cooling), ensuring full compliance

* Provide clear and confident technical advice to clients when on-site

* Repair or replace key AC components, assessing required parts

* Ensure all work meets the latest legislation and industry standards

Requirements

* Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar AC Engineer role

* F-Gas qualification (C&G 2079) – Essential

* NVQ Level 2 in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration – Essential

* Strong technical understanding of current F-Gas regulations

* Comfortable using PDA/compliance systems

* Excellent communication, organisation and customer-service skills

* Self-motivated and able to work independently

* Clean UK driving licence

* Clean DBS
