Team: Family Safeguarding
Salary: £53,655 - £58,570 inc market supplement + £1,000 welcome bonus (dependent on experience)
Contract: Permanent, Full Time
Location: Apsley (however travel to meetings will be require within your geographical area)

Liquid Personnel are currently recruiting for a Social Worker to join a Looked After Children Team based in Hertfordshire - Apsley. As a Consultant Social Worker in this team, you will be conducting supervision meetings and supporting other members of the team and providing management cover in the Team Manager’s absence. You’ll work closely with carers, families, and multi-agency professionals to ensure stability, safety, and positive outcomes.

This role will require you to support social workers by assisting in court work which will include attending court.

Each Team is made up of a Team Manager, Consultant Social Worker(s), Senior Practitioners, Social Workers, Children's Practitioners and Family Practitioners. You will hold a small caseload of complex work and will have support to develop into a management role in the future.

About You
  • Social Work England registered
  • Must have completed ASYE
  • Experienced in safeguarding and working with complex cases
  • You will have a thorough knowledge of care proceedings and court experience
  • Passionate about supporting children, families, and achieving positive change
  • Committed to best practice and continuous development
  • Full UK Driving License and have access to a vehicle
