Position:
Homelessness Support Worker
Location:
Hemel Hempstead
Salary: £16,110 per annum / £13.77 per hour
Hours:
Part-time (22.5 hours per week)
Fixed Term Contract until 31/05/2028
Join our compassionate team at Alexandra Road, supporting individuals experiencing homelessness or rough sleeping. Based in Hemel Hempstead, the scheme provides move-on accommodation within a safe, welcoming environment for adults aged 18+, where inclusion and respect are at the heart of everything we do.
We take a person-centred approach, empowering people to rebuild their confidence, secure long-term housing, and move towards independent living.
The Role
Assess needs and create personalised support plans
Promote independent living skills such as cooking, cleaning and budgeting
Contribute to risk assessments and ongoing support plans
Support individuals to achieve personal goals and access opportunities, working collaboratively with colleagues and external partners
Shifts:
Monday - Friday
About You
You will have experience in care or support, communicate well with people from diverse backgrounds, and feel confident working both independently and alone, as the role involves some lone working.
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are required.
