Ton Driver

Overview

Gi Group are looking for an experienced 7.5 ton driver in Hemel Hempstead. This is multi‑drop work for a well known local food company. This is a temp‑perm role.

• Monday to Friday £14.53
• Up to £34,000 per year when permanent

• Monday to Friday
• 05:00 starts

• Deliveries to the food service industry (bars, restaurants etc)
• Up to 25 drops
• Driver will need to load and unload vehicle, using tail‑lift, pallet/pump truck

• UK, in date, 7.5 ton (C1) licence with 1 year experience minimum
• Current and valid CPC and Digi Tacho
• No more than 6 penalty points (no IN, MS, CU, TT, DR or DD codes)
• Must be willing and able to do manual handling (multi‑drop deliveries)
• Must adhere to food safety legislation requirements
• Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
• Tactful and courteous
• Take pride in their work
• Ability to cope under pressure
• Reliable and trustworthy
• Good communication skills
