Responsibilities in your new role as Transport Planning Coordinator
As Transport Planning Coordinator, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth flow of international logistics.
* Strategic Transport Planning:
Orchestrate daily international and cross-border road transport operations, expertly planning routes and optimising resources for peak efficiency.
* Proactive Operational Oversight:
Collaborate seamlessly with drivers and partners to ensure schedule adherence and smooth operations, proactively monitoring vehicle movements for efficient transport flows.
* Precision Shipment Delivery:
Maintain a laser focus on orders, prioritising outstanding shipments to guarantee punctual processing and on-time delivery.
* Data Integrity & Service Excellence:
Manage collections and deliveries with meticulous data recording. Expertly handle queries, committing to prompt resolution and consistently upholding exceptional service quality with precision and attention to detail.
Your personality, experience and qualifications
To excel as a Transport Planning Coordinator, you will bring significant operational experience from a comparable international transport and logistics role. This includes having a background in international HGV route planning and optimisation, coupled with a strong understanding of legal compliance.
Our client seeks a confident professional with excellent interpersonal skills, adept at respectfully managing challenging interactions, ensuring satisfaction, and fostering strong stakeholder relationships. You must be high-energy, results-oriented, and proactive, taking ownership, thriving independently, and making effective decisions under pressure, especially during peak seasons.
A quick learner, you will swiftly grasp our clients Transport Management System and company processes, adeptly managing multiple tasks and competing priorities. Excellent communication skills, professional manners, and proficiency in MS Office (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, Office 365) are essential.

Due to the location's limited public transport options, this role would ideally suit an individual with access to their own transport.
