*** hiring bonus eligibility requirements:

• an applicant must be employed as a california full-time police officer with at least three (3) consecutive years of street/patrol specific
  experience at the time that the applicant submitted a job application to the city for the lateral police officer position.
• three (3) years of experience as a full-time police officer must have occurred at a california post-certified police or sheriff's department. The following types of experience do not count toward the prerequisite.
  • street/patrol experience from an agency outside of california.
  • prior experience as a military police officer.
  • prior experience as a correctional officer.
  • prior experience as a sheriff's deputy working at a county jail or state prison.
• no break in service
