As a Patient Care Technician (PCT), you’ll work closely with nurses to provide hands‑on care and support to patients. Some of your responsibilities will include:
- This staff member will provide patient care in the Outpatient surgery setting and the recovery department. This staff member will greet patients and room them. Tasks are as follows but not limited to transport of in‑house patients, taking vitals, checking blood sugars, cleaning of rooms/patient beds and assisting nurses in other tasks.
- Patient care tech for outpatient surgery and surgery recovery department. Assist RN with preparing patients for surgical procedures, Endoscopy procedures and some radiology procedures. Responsibilities will include but not limited to taking weights, blood pressures and assisting with any other patient needs.
This role involves exposure to bodily fluids and dynamic and sensitive situations. If you’re compassionate, resilient, and detail‑oriented, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring quality care and making a real difference in our patients' lives.
Required:Certifications/Licenses/Education
- Basic Life Support:
Health Care Provider, within six months of hire. - Completion of a high school education or equivalent (GED) preferred
- Successfully complete PCT classes as required by care center/unit.
