Job Summary
:
Quality Inspectors are responsible for monitoring and evaluating internal production processes, examining products to determine their quality, engaging with employees and management, and gathering product feedback, among other duties.
- Monitor operations to ensure they meet quality and production standards
- Ensure product and manufacturing lines perform effectively
- Inspect, test, or measure all materials and products being produced
- Check all incoming products and materials to ensure accuracy
- Keep accurate documentation
- Assist shop foreman and supervisor in day‑to‑day production as needed
- The above list of duties is not exhaustive; other duties logically associated with the position may be assigned.
- Advanced blueprint reading certification
- CAWI or CWI preferable
- Experience with in the industry
- Strong attention to detail, observation, organizational, and leadership skills
- Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
- In‑depth knowledge of quality control procedures and standards
- Basic computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office helpful
Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts consistent with a fabrication shop environment. Occasionally exposed to changing weather conditions and working at moderate heights. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Physical DemandsFrequent standing, walking, use of hands and fingers, reaching with hands and arms, talking or hearing. Occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Hours:
7 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday – hours may vary, and work may involve occasional weekends and/or holidays as required for business purposes.
