Job SummaryThe Load Out Operator uses heavy equipment for loading outbound trucks with finished product and is responsible for ensuring a steady flow of material for processing.
Essential Duties / Responsibilities- Operates yard and plant equipment to load materials. Maintains raw material mixture at proper moisture content.
- Maintains contact with operator to ensure most efficient drying rate.
- Performs daily maintenance on loader before each shift.
- Washes plant equipment, vehicles, and processing areas as necessary using high pressure power washer.
- Performs general cleaning as needed in work areas.
- Keeps area clean; raw materials piled out of driving area.
- Maintains safety as top priority in accordance with all company safety rules and regulations.
- Reviews and evaluates qualitative data reports to verify that product meets Company specifications.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in loader operations within a production environment.
- Must be able to work nights and weekends as needed.
- Experience working in a rendering operation preferred.
- Basic math skills; ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers.
- Good oral and written skills; able to follow oral and written directions.
- Ability to review & comprehend qualitative data reports to verify product meets specifications.
- Ability to deal with minor problems involving equipment or various situations.
