Title: Bartender

An Ellis Park Bartender is an integral part of the team responsible for taking food and drink orders from guests, mixing and serving a variety of alcoholic and non‑alcoholic drinks in a friendly and courteous manner, while ensuring guests are not overserved so that everyone can have a fun and safe gaming experience.

• Take beverage and food orders from patrons in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Mix and serve alcoholic and non‑alcoholic beverages, including wine and bottled/draft beer.
• Promote brands/products to increase sales, including promotional drinks and drink specials.
• Maintain a cash drawer and complete transactions using a point‑of‑sale system.
• Keep the bar/workstation clean and attractive: arrange bottles and glasses, sweep, wipe surfaces, remove trash, mop.
• Restock alcoholic/non‑alcoholic beverages, cut/slice and replenish garnishes, refill ice wells, replace kegs, refill paper products, glassware, and condiments.
• Assist with inventory and inventory control.

• Relevant work experience with strong knowledge and skill in mixing a variety of alcoholic beverages.
• Basic math and cash handling skills.
• Availability to work weekends, holidays, and nights.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license.

• High School Diploma or GED.
