* Assumes responsibility for all autonomous aspects of individual teaching loads.
* Plans clinical experiences for and provides direct supervision and evaluation of nursing students delivering care to an individual or group of individuals.
* Makes self-available to staff at the agencies.
* Evaluates and provides documented feedback to student on level of performance based on course objectives.
* Is available for remediation of students as required or needed.
* Orients and maintains current knowledge related to agency/clinical policies, procedures, and expectations with assistance of Nevada State and agency staff.
* Corrects and returns homework, quizzes, lab assignments, clinical paperwork, and other written work in a timely manner.
* Familiar with, willing, and able to use computer technology.
* Complies with all applicable regulatory rules and standards.
* Attends all required development and orientation sessions during contracted work periods.
* Unencumbered/Unrestricted Nevada RN License.
* Master’s degree in nursing or a related field.
* Evidence of clinical excellence and desire to teach at the college level.
* Evidence of a strong commitment to teaching, mentoring, and working with a diverse population of undergraduate students in a growing institution.
* Team player who collaborates with faculty, staff, and students.
* Competency in use of Electronic Health Records and educational technology.
* Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship (Nevada State does not sponsor employment-related visas).

* Master’s degree in nursing or above with experience educating undergraduate nursing students.
* Minimum of one year of RN clinical practice within the past three years.
* Ability to teach clinical nursing skills, supervise students in clinical and lab settings, and evaluate student performance.
* Demonstrated commitment to active learning.
* Evidence of scholarly potential and/or activity.
* Experience in web-based coursework.
* Incorporation of diversity into teaching.
* Active in professional organizations related to nursing education.
