Service Center Manager

Sunrise Engineering is seeking a Civil Engineering Department Manager to support our growing organization. This position is based in our Las Vegas Metro office (Henderson, NV). The Civil Engineering Department Manager (Service Center Manager) provides both strategic and operational support to service center managers throughout the organization. We are looking for someone with an entrepreneurial drive to work with our team in Nevada.

As a Service Center Manager at Sunrise Engineering, each day unfolds with a sense of purpose and excitement. Our civil engineering teams are made up of interns, EITs, designers, and PEs leaving plenty of opportunities to mentor your fellow team members and provide guiding insights. Collaborating with a dynamic team, you embark on a journey to create innovative solutions for community engineering projects.

At Sunrise we believe in being two-deep, meaning that you will work closely with your Vice President to provide guidance and be a sounding board when needed.

Your day-to-day activities may include:

• Planning, organizing and implementing the activities of the service center including managing all aspects of the service center:
  • Business development, maintaining and managing existing client relationships
  • Project management and production of deliverables
  • Personnel, including mentoring and developing staff
  • Operations
  • Prepare proposals for new opportunities
  • Track/review key performance indicators for the department
  • Oversight on a variety of projects

• A bachelor’s (BS) degree in civil engineering coupled with a valid Nevada PE License
• 10+ years of relevant experience in civil engineering projects including water, sewer, grading/drainage, transportation, and land development elements
• Proven strong verbal and nonverbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with teams and clients
• Able to oversee a variety of project types for both public and private clients
• Problem solving and conflict resolution skills with effective communication
• Highly organized individual who relates well with clients while collaborating well with other departments
• Attention to project details including scope, schedule and budget
• The employee will be required to adhere to the company’s policies, safety plan, and the project safety plan
