Réalis located in Henderson, NV.
We are seeking a senior project manager to join our Henderson office and lead complex water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities- Execute complex assignments related to planning, design, and preparation of water and wastewater infrastructure plans.
- Apply standard engineering practices and techniques, including development of technical engineering documents such as reports, specifications, permits, cost estimates, engineering drawings, and schedules.
- Conduct engineering investigations and planning work, collecting and analyzing data, performing routine calculations, and evaluating alternative solutions.
- Identify new business opportunities, coordinate project presentations to clients, and promote firm capabilities.
- Participate in project opportunity evaluation, consultant selection, and preparation of qualification/experience statements.
- Coordinate communications between internal and external associates, clients, and regulatory agencies; serve as expert witness at hearings and proceedings if required.
- Supervise project managers, technical professionals, and design staff, managing workload and manpower forecasting.
- Conduct project management training workshops and mentor associate project managers.
- Monitor and report financial status of projects to technical managers.
- Direct project compliance with contract terms, monitor subcontractors, approve invoices, and resolve payment disputes.
- Manage project quality control, administrative procedures, communication guidelines, deliverable formats, and reporting requirements.
- Monitor schedules, billings, and reports; ensure appropriate charging of manhours and costs; assist in payment collection and dispute resolution.
- Coordinate contract negotiations with clients and subcontractors, draft professional service agreements, and review contractual commitments.
- Perform data acquisition and analysis, researching alternative design approaches and regulatory specifications.
- Organize and perform engineering assessments, investigations, and planning work.
- Assist with hydraulic calculations emphasizing pressure and gravity flow pipeline networks.
- Perform quality control, maintain work standards, and review design drawings.
- Prepare material for reports, permit applications, and graphic presentations.
- Perform field observations during construction procedures when appropriate.
- Support design and development of plans and drawings, including preliminary layouts and final drawings.
- Contribute to development of specifications and permit applications and write miscellaneous reports.
- Coordinate with other disciplines as required.
- Perform other duties as directed by the supervisor.
- Uphold engineering ethics and professional standards.
- Collaborate with other units to develop marketing and business development strategies in Nevada and Southern California.
- B.S. or M.S. in Civil, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering; 15+ years of experience since bachelor’s degree.
- Excellent interpersonal, technical writing, and communication skills with proficiency in public speaking and presentations.
- Ability to process documents, communicate clearly, and plan, prioritize, and review project plans.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office; experience with Civil3D preferred.
- Professional licensed in Nevada or ability to obtain a Professional Engineer license within six months.
