Predictive Modeling Senior Manager – Strategic Consulting

Henderson Engineers, Inc. is seeking a Predictive Modeling Senior Manager to join the Strategic Consulting Team. The Sr. Manager leads the development, innovation, and quality of predictive modeling services across the organization, managing a team of subject‑matter experts and driving alignment on technical standards, best practices, and team capabilities.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field required; 4 years of related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum 10 years in predictive modeling and mechanical design required, including mission critical and data center experience.
  • Proven expertise in leading cross‑disciplinary technical design teams.
  • Experience with a variety of facilities, including healthcare, research labs, and large venues.
  • Proficiency in CFD software (ANSYS Fluent, StarCCM+, FloEFD) and energy modeling tools (IESVE, eQUEST, Energy Plus).
  • Advanced understanding of thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid dynamics.
  • Familiarity with AEC software (AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, Navisworks).
  • Scripting skills (Python, C++, Java) for automation and modeling enhancements.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of building codes, including ASHRAE standards.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality in modeling outcomes.
  • Must demonstrate proficiency in all core competencies as described in this job description.
Preferred Qualifications & Plusses
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred.
Responsibilities – Leadership & Team Development
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to CFD and Energy Modeling teams.
  • Develop team goals, performance expectations, and growth opportunities in collaboration with team leads.
  • Lead resource planning, team meetings, and alignment efforts to optimize performance.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning by developing training programs and advancing team capabilities.
Responsibilities – Predictive Modeling & Project Execution
  • Oversee predictive modeling projects, ensuring quality, cost, and scheduling meet client and financial objectives.
  • Act as a subject‑matter expert throughout the project lifecycle, from concept through commissioning.
  • Perform quantitative analysis, sensitivity assessments, and design optimizations for system performance.
  • Conduct and present modeling studies, including CFD airflow modeling and energy simulations, to stakeholders.
Responsibilities – Standards & Process Optimization
  • Establish and maintain technical modeling standards, processes, and best practices.
  • Evaluate and implement modeling software solutions for quality and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with engineering and construction teams to integrate new and existing standards effectively.
Responsibilities – Industry Leadership & Business Development
  • Represent the company as a thought leader through blogs, presentations, and conference participation.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with clients, partners, and industry stakeholders.
  • Contribute to client engagement strategies, project pursuits, and execution plans.

  • Stay updated on industry trends, innovations, and technologies to keep the team at the forefront of predictive modeling.
  • Assess and validate data inputs, calibrate models, and simulate scenarios for system evaluation.
  • Apply scripting and automation tools to enhance modeling efficiency and accuracy.
