This role provides a base pay range and may be located anywhere in the United States. Ideal candidates will be near a Jacobs U.S. based office, but the “best” candidates will be hired regardless of location.

• Lead the BIM designers in preparation of engineering drawings.
• Create or modify DIV 27 specifications.
• Conduct site visits and review technical documents.
• Manage the relationship with internal and external stakeholders.
• Sign and seal telecommunications design packages.
• Mentor other team members.
• Work with the lead engineer and/or department manager to identify processes that increase departmental efficiency.

• Electrical Engineering or Communication Engineering bachelor’s degree from an ABET accredited college.
• Minimum 8 years’ experience actively designing or leading designs for Telecommunications structured cabling systems.
• Thorough knowledge of ANSI/TIA, BICSI, and NFPA 70 standards.
• Proficiency with Bluebeam.
• Self‑motivation to coordinate with other disciplines, project managers, and clients.
• Excellent project management skills.
• Familiarity with responding to RFPs.
• Experience in providing quality assurance and checking of telecommunications systems designed by others.
• Experience with startup and commissioning of telecommunications systems.
• Experience creating and maintaining a project budget and schedule.
• Experience identifying and mitigating company risk.
• PE license required; multiple PE licenses acceptable.

• 4 years of Telecommunications design experience in Data Centers.
• Experience working on other low‑voltage systems (Security, Audio/Visual, Wireless).
• Working knowledge of Revit and Navisworks design software platforms.
• Knowledge of telecom infrastructure for controls systems and security systems.
• Knowledge of CSI or AIA specification writing procedures.
• Credential as an RCDD.
