. This role is a site‑based position with flexible home office location in the U.S., based in the Advanced Manufacturing Group, where we deliver cost‑effective and transformative projects to the electric vehicle, data center, consumer goods, metals, pulp and paper, and other markets.

As a VDC Lead, you will manage and optimize our digital delivery processes in the Advanced Manufacturing sector, providing VDC/BIM/Digital Delivery management and leadership across project life cycles.
Responsibilities- Align VDC technologies with internal and client goals; define digital delivery scope for project estimates.
- Coordinate project technical setup and model deliverables; create and implement Design and Construction BIM Execution Plans for EPCM.
- Integrate VDC tasks, including 3D logistics and safety planning, 4D scheduling, 5D cost and quantity take‑offs; administer the Common Data Environment (Autodesk Construction Cloud).
- Kick‑off, manage and track progress on Clash Detection for design teams and trade partners; lead clash resolution meetings.
- Serve as BIM Subject Matter Expert on projects in design and construction; coordinate laser scan data integration and facilitate Scan to BIM.
- Manage model redline and as‑built processes; verify construction installation with model‑based practices.
- Lead mobile device trainings for field employees; lead reality capture for progress reporting (360 photos, laser scans, drone data).
- Act as technology lead and offer on‑field technical troubleshooting, software support, and mobile device applications.
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and trade partners during business development, proposals, and estimates.
- Recruit, manage, and mentor employees; develop training materials and technical guidance.
- Provide daily on‑site presence and leadership; coordinate VDC activities with field operations.
- At least 7 years of experience in VDC/BIM roles within the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of BIM technologies and their application in manufacturing environments.
- Proficiency in BIM software (Revit, Navisworks, Revizto) and Autodesk Construction Cloud.
- Experience with laser scanning and point‑cloud data management.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills.
- Proven track record of on‑site leadership of VDC activities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment on a project site and virtually.
- Experience in developing and implementing BIM execution plans.
- Strong understanding of construction processes and MEP systems.
- Willing to work on site near Baton Rouge, LA.
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
Base pay range: $/yr – $/yr
. Position is open at any location in the United States; ideal candidates will be near a Jacobs U.S. office.
