The primary objective of the Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) is to develop and maintain the corporate Oracle databases, ensuring data integrity, security, retention, and recoverability. In this role, the DBA will design, build, test, and deploy quality database solutions that are consistent with project objectives, technology architecture standards, and departmental best practices. The DBA will design and implement database strategies, administer enterprise‑wide data architecture, implement complex data structures, and provide daily management of all corporate databases.

• Evaluate patch releases from Oracle and patching requests from development, communicating constraints, issues, and timelines for deployment.
• Perform change management, including maintenance of multiple development, test, QA, and production environments.
• Deploy approved changes to production.
• Provide 24×7 rotational on‑call support, driving root‑cause analysis (RCA), preventative action follow‑through, and participation in weekly operations reviews.
• Provide proactive database monitoring and issue resolution.
• Perform database and PL/SQL optimization, including performance tuning, query optimization, and supportability.
• Participate in projects involving enterprise systems enhancements.
• Implement and support high‑availability architecture such as standby logical/physical Data Guard, RAC, and hot standby databases.
• Collaborate with development project teams to design and implement database solutions that meet business requirements.
• Contribute to project design and Oracle database design decisions, refining and troubleshooting the design.
• Create and maintain documentation on database structures and data architecture.
• Support nightly ETL processing.
• Conduct regular proactive capacity planning and reviews of all Oracle databases, producing weekly and monthly management reports.
• Attend project kick‑offs and design reviews, sizing new environments and recommending infrastructure solutions with cost estimates.
• Develop and implement database security policies and procedures in line with corporate objectives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• BS/BA degree in a related technical discipline.
• Over 3 years of Oracle DBA experience with 10g, 11g, and/or 12c.
• Experience with multiple operating systems, including Microsoft Windows and Linux.
• Proficient in RMAN backup with RMAN Catalog.
• Experience with Oracle Data Guard (10g, 11g, 12c).
• Proficiency with OEM Grid Control, Enterprise Manager, and Oracle Management Services; familiarity with tools such as Toad, Spotlight, or other monitoring utilities.
• Strong PL/SQL and UNIX/Linux shell scripting skills.
• High‑level SQL design, development, tuning, and debugging expertise.
• Experience in Oracle security administration.
• Positive attitude and ability to work under high demands and short deadlines.
• Strong prioritization skills with minimal supervision.
