As both a lender and servicer, we work closely with loan originators, brokers, and correspondents to provide competitive rates and strong loan terms.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a portfolio of delinquent mortgage accounts through the full foreclosure process while ensuring strict adherence to federal, state, investor, insurer, and company guidelines.
- Review loan histories, title reports, bankruptcy status, loss mitigation activity, and supporting documents to determine foreclosure eligibility and next steps.
- Coordinate with attorneys, trustees, and third‑party vendors to initiate and advance foreclosure actions within required timelines.
- Monitor critical foreclosure milestones, ensuring all actions meet regulatory time frames and investor/insurer requirements.
- Communicate with borrowers, when applicable, to provide status updates and ensure required disclosures and notices are issued accurately and on time.
- Maintain complete, accurate, and audit‑ready documentation in the servicing system, including all foreclosure actions, communications, and compliance checkpoints.
- Collaborate with Loss Mitigation, Bankruptcy, Compliance, and Servicing teams to prevent avoidable delays, resolve issues, and ensure proper case handoff when retention options remain available.
- Identify and elevate risks, title impediments, or process barriers that may affect foreclosure timelines or compliance.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Proficiency with mortgage servicing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- In‑depth knowledge of federal and state mortgage regulations (RESPA, TILA, TRID, ECOA, HMDA, FDCPA, CFPB).
- Prior experience in foreclosure processing, default servicing, investor/insurer guidelines (FHA, VA, USDA), or similar mortgage servicing roles.
- Strong understanding of state‑specific foreclosure laws, timelines, notice requirements, and judicial vs. non‑judicial processes.
- Experience working with foreclosure attorneys, trustees, and third‑party vendors.
- Ability to analyze loan documentation, payment histories, and title reports to support accurate decision‑making.
- Familiarity with servicing platforms (e.g., MSP/Black Knight), document management systems, and workflow tools used in default operations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage high‑volume caseloads in a deadline‑driven, compliance‑focused environment.
- Strong written communication skills for drafting clear and compliant borrower notices and internal documentation.
