This position is incentive eligible and physically based in Henderson, NV, assigned to Los Robles Regional Medical Center (CA).

Key responsibilities include ensuring compliance with GAAP, managing financial reporting, supervising the Assistant Controller, overseeing internal controls, and preparing ad hoc reports.

• Ensure that generally accepted accounting principles and procedures are followed in the recording of financial transactions and maintenance of the hospital’s general accounting and statistical reporting systems.
• Supervise the Assistant Controller to organize functions of the department through the assignment of responsibilities.
• Monitor department activities to ensure timely completion of work according to departmental, division, or corporate policies and ensure accuracy of the balance sheet and timely completion of month‑end financial statement reviews, account reconciliations, monthly Balance Sheet Review Guide and Financial Attestation, and Facility SOX & Internal Control Attestations.
• Ensure the hospital’s semi‑annual internal controls are sound and all Sarbanes‑Oxley 404 and internal controls documentation are completed.
• Oversee the timely completion of month end close for the hospital and its COIDs.
• Oversee reconciliation preparation and reviews & follow‑up on general ledger accounts on a timely basis.
• Prepare / review various ad hoc reporting and reporting for the Facility Monthly Operating Review.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Master’s degree in Business Administration in Accounting or Finance preferred.
• 3‑4 years of experience in Accounting required.
• 4+ years of experience in Accounting preferred.
• 2 years’ experience supervising accountants, preferably in a healthcare setting, preferred.

Salary Estimate: $ – $ per year. Typical candidate is hired below the midpoint of the range.
