Responsible for the analysis of laboratory specimens and subsequent result reporting according to laboratory protocol and procedures. Acts as a resource for Medical Laboratory Technicians and Lab Assistants. Supports and assists Lead Medical Technologist.
Qualifications- B.S. Degree in Medical Technology (ASCP) or equivalent as defined by CLIA’88
- 3 years experience as Medical Technologist preferred
- General bench‑tech skills required to provide coverage in all modalities
- Nevada State License as Clinical Laboratory Technologist
- ASCP or equivalent board registration/education required upon hire
- New CLS graduates must receive certification within 6 months of hire
- Applicants without a Nevada license must obtain a provisional license prior to hire and a permanent license upon expiration of the provisional license
- Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide high quality patient care appropriately (specific age competencies)
- Must possess appropriate people skills, organization and attention to detail
- Must desire to act as a resource
