Position SummaryThe Central Scheduler coordinates patient scheduling for surgeries and other procedures. The role requires clear communication with patients, physicians, and internal departments to ensure accurate preparation and documentation.
Responsibilities- Schedule patients for surgery and other procedures.
- Communicate preparations needed to patients and share details with all areas of the Scheduling Department.
- Collect specialty supply requests from physicians and healthcare staff.
- Gather and report statistical data as requested.
- Demonstrate service excellence at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Preferred:
Completed a Medical Assistant/Specialist program. - Preferred:
Minimum of one year of medical experience. - Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures, office terminology, and e‑commerce equipment.
- Proficient with computer hardware, software, and programming applications.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and responsibility.
- Customer‑service skills, including assessment of customer needs and quality standards.
