Salary Range: $20.00 To $28.00 Hourly

CPC or CCS Required

Nevada Pediatric Specialists is a growing pediatric practice serving families throughout Southern Nevada. We are seeking a highly motivated Medical Coding & Revenue Cycle Specialist who can support both coding and billing functions while growing with our organization.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced coder who understands the realities of medical billing and wants to become a key contributor to the success of a growing healthcare organization.

We are looking for someone who is smart, humble, curious, dependable, and willing to roll up their sleeves to help wherever needed.

• CPC (Certified Professional Coder) or CCS (Certified Coding Specialist)
• Minimum one year of recent hands-on coding or medical billing experience
• Experience with in the past 7 years in a physician practice, medical billing company, hospital, or healthcare organization
• Strong understanding of CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS coding
• Knowledge of commercial insurance, Medicaid, and claim processing workflows
• Ability to commute to Henderson, Nevada
• Ability to travel to our Las Vegas office 1-2 times per week for training and collaboration

• Pediatric experience preferred
• Experience with denial management and appeals
• Accounts receivable and insurance follow-up experience
• EHR and practice management software experience
• Spanish-speaking is a plus

• Review and assign accurate medical codes
• Support claim submission and reimbursement accuracy
• Research and resolve coding and billing issues
• Work denied and rejected claims
• Assist with appeals and payer communications
• Collaborate with providers regarding documentation and coding opportunities
• Help improve workflows and revenue cycle performance
• Crosstrain in multiple areas of revenue cycle operations
