Medical Receptionist

Our busy cardiology practice is seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist / Front Desk team member to join our patient-focused team. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and the ability to manage a fast-paced front desk with professionalism and efficiency.
At least 6 months of medical front desk experience, including both patient check-in and check-out, is required; 1 year or more is preferred. Proficiency in Practice Fusion and Collaborate MD is required.

• Greet and check in patients in a courteous and professional manner.
• Complete patient check-out, schedule follow-up appointments, and coordinate next steps.
• Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments.
• Verify patient insurance eligibility and obtain necessary authorizations.
• Collect co-pays, coinsurance, and outstanding balances.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using Practice Fusion and Collaborate MD.
• Answer incoming calls and respond to patient inquiries.
• Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow.
• Process referrals, medical records requests, and other administrative tasks.

• Minimum 6 months of medical front desk experience, including patient check-in and check-out, required; 1 year or more preferred.
• Working knowledge of both Practice Fusion and Collaborate MD required.
• Cardiology experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of insurance verification and authorization processes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.
