Human Resources Specialist – Onboarding & HR Operations

Location: On-Site, Henderson, NV
Employment Type: Full-Time

About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Human Resources Specialist – Onboarding & HR Operations to support our growing, multi-state healthcare organization. This role is critical to delivering a seamless and compliant employee and provider experience—from offer acceptance through onboarding, ongoing employment changes, and separation.

What You’ll Do Onboarding & Employee Lifecycle Support
  • Manage end-to-end onboarding for providers and administrative employees, ensuring readiness for day one
  • Coordinate offboarding and separation processes, including checklist assignment and completion tracking
  • Serve as a point of accountability to ensure onboarding and separation steps are completed accurately and on time
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to resolve delays or gaps in required processes
HRIS, Payroll & Systems Administration
  • Maintain accurate employee and provider records in Paycom, including job data, compensation, tax forms, and status changes
  • Ensure new hires are properly added to all required systems (HR, payroll, training, and internal platforms)
  • Support payroll and HR leadership with system updates, audits, and employment changes
  • Perform routine data audits to ensure accuracy and consistency across systems
Training & Checklist Management
  • Assign required onboarding and compliance training and monitor completion
  • Track checklist and training progress, following up as needed with employees, managers, and trainers
  • Ensure documentation is properly recorded and retained
Reporting & HR Support
  • Run standard and ad-hoc reports related to onboarding, training completion, headcount, turnover, and compliance
  • Compile and validate HR data for audits, leadership reporting, and operational needs
  • Support HR leadership with data preparation and analysis
Compliance & Process Improvement
  • Ensure onboarding and separation processes align with internal policies and state-specific requirements
  • Maintain personnel files in accordance with documentation and retention standards
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, documentation, and efficiency
  • Assist with updating SOPs, checklists, and onboarding materials as processes evolve
What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in HR operations, onboarding, or HR administration
  • Experience in healthcare, behavioral health, or multi-state organizations
  • Hands‑on experience with HRIS and payroll systems (Paycom strongly preferred)
  • Proven ability to manage multiple workflows, deadlines, and checklists simultaneously
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting HR reporting or data analysis
  • Familiarity with learning management systems or workflow automation tools
