Senior Material Planner

Full Time

The Senior Material Planner serves as a liaison between demand planners, the fulfillment program manager, and the DSV BTS fulfillment site. The role ensures material availability, lead time compliance, and continuous improvement of material planning processes.

• Ensure commitments from demand planning groups are delivered within agreed product lead times.
• Resolve delays in providing the needed material in the agreed timeline.
• Manage lead times of all delivery orders placed on behalf of the customer and report any lead time issues.
• Expedite SAP delivery orders to the site with assistance from internal and external partners.
• Review customer build/ship plans to confirm they meet delivery date commitments.
• Identify improvement opportunities and develop project plans to promote continuous improvement.
• Manage dock operations, ensuring safety procedures, training documentation, and material disposition and tracking.
• Serve as backup for the build’s supervisor, managing the department in their absence.
• Assist with startup of new buildings, ensuring safety procedures and temporary/permanent areas are set up for operations.
• Coordinate with warehouse personnel for planning and prioritization of inbound and outbound material.
• Manage work tickets for material movement between customer site and warehouse.
• Onboard new material planners, improving training documentation.

• Assist with payroll/HR issues and interview process when needed.
• Administer on‑the‑job training sessions for team members.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
• Prefer 5+ years of related experience.
• Exceptional interpersonal and analytical skills.
• Proficiency with SAP and material planning systems.
