Pacific Bridges and Civil Structures Technical Manager
Location:
Henderson, NV
Reporting to the National Practice Director, the Technical Manager will lead a group of 4 to 8 engineers and detailers, manage project production and acquisition, and support pursuit and marketing efforts throughout Nevada and the Pacific West Coast.
Responsibilities- Staff Administration:
Identify staffing availability, recommend salary levels, conduct performance reviews, provide development counseling, and ensure compliance with company policies. - Project Production and Management:
Allocate staff to projects, enforce quality control standards, review QC plans, audit QA compliance, and resolve cross‑unit issues. - Technical Excellence:
Participate in professional organizations, encourage staff participation, and design development tracks with Practice and Technical Directors. - Marketing and Client Maintenance:
Maintain contacts with current and prospective clients and participate in new project opportunities. - Contracts and Financial:
Assist sales leads and project managers with staff pursuits, contract negotiations, and approve purchase requests for capital items as specified in the Authorization Matrix. - Perform such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field; post‑graduate degree preferred; management coursework or MBA a plus.
- 15 years of experience since B.S.; at least three years in project management or supervisory roles.
- Excellent technical and interpersonal skills; proven ability to manage teams, provide leadership, and manage project production; strong business vision and communication skills.
- Professional Engineer (PE) required.
