Job Description About the RoleWe have an exciting casual opportunity for a Coatings Trainer & Spray Equipment Maintainer to join our team, working 5 to 6 days per fortnight. Working within our advanced material manufacturing facility, this role is responsible for delivering manufacturer-approved coating training, supporting coating projects, and maintaining our rental equipment fleet.
Responsibilities- Training external painters and Matrix employees in the application of our coating products
- Maintaining rental and client equipment, including single/plural pumps, dry ice equipment and air compressors
- Providing technical support for Matrix Coating Technology (MCT) projects and equipment rentals
- Supporting sales teams and the Technical Authority to grow the business
- Conducting Verifications of Competency (VOCs)
- Reviewing client and student feedback to support continuous improvement
- Ensuring the safety of all trainees during training activities
- Ensuring materials, consumables and labour are available for training, trials and demonstrations
- Promoting a culture of waste minimisation and environmental awareness
- Supporting innovation and client engagement for the development of products and services

To contribute to our continued growth and success, we are seeking someone who ideally has:
- Experience as a protective coatings applicator
- Exposure to Passive Fire Protection (PFP) applications
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
In addition, the following would be considered highly advantageous:
- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment
- Experience with the Humidur product line
- Experience operating and maintaining Graco plural pumps
