This position is located in Henderson, NV and is eligible for a $1,000 sign‑on bonus. The Machine Operator is responsible for operating high‑speed machines used in production, leading a crew, making minor adjustments, and verifying the quality of own work. The role supports the production line by filling in for the Crew Leader and executing tasks assigned by the production supervisor.
Responsibilities- Adhere to all safe work procedures and proactively identify safety issues.
- Communicate effectively, respectfully, and with trust, integrity, and respect.
- Perform routine line work and Machine Operator tasks as assigned, including filling in for the Crew Leader when needed.
- Apply logic and problem‑solving skills to provide effective solutions to difficult problems.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and engage the team.
- Demonstrate strong individual responsibility toward delivering team metrics related to Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
- Use sound decision‑making based on documented processes and Good Manufacturing Practices.
The position is generally scheduled for 12‑hour shifts. Shift variations may exist, with work on other lines if the main line is not running. Current shifts available are Day and Night. Overtime may be required at times.
Qualifications- Minimum 18 years old.
- High School diploma or equivalent (GED) strongly preferred.
- At least 2 years of solid, continuous work experience beyond an entry‑level role in general production, construction, farm operations, food service, or hospitality. Experience in food manufacturing preferred.
- Demonstrated stability in employment and limited gaps in work history.
- Ability to work well in a diverse team environment.
- Strong communication skills with others.
- Basic computer skills.
- Understanding of cause‑and‑effect and troubleshooting/problem‑solving.
- Experience leading people and ability to provide direction to others preferred.
- Quality‑minded, conscientious, and self‑motivated.
- Capacity to stand for a 10–12 hour shift.
- Repetitive motion of hands, fingers, shoulders, and arms required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
The work environment includes allergens such as dairy, peanuts, tree nuts, coconut, wheat, soy, and egg.
