Job Summary

The Production Supervisor will oversee daily operations within the manufacturing department to ensure production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are met consistently. This role will lead and develop production teams, manage workflow, and support continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership skills, a passion for operational excellence, and experience in a GMP-regulated environment.



Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate production line activities and personnel to meet daily production schedules.
  • Ensure all manufacturing processes comply with cGMP, safety, and quality standards.
  • Act as backup to the Production Manager as needed to ensure continuity of operations.
  • Monitor workflow, identify bottlenecks, and implement process improvements to maximize efficiency.
  • Train, coach, and evaluate team members to ensure performance, engagement, and compliance.
  • Conduct and document performance evaluations and assist in employee development through hands-on coaching and cross-training.
  • Participate in equipment setup and minor maintenance; able to perform basic setup and operate production equipment as necessary.
  • Ensure production records and paperwork are completed accurately and in compliance with SOPs and GMP requirements.
  • Support staging, material coordination, and production planning activities in collaboration with scheduling and warehouse teams.
  • Identify and help resolve mechanical or process-related issues on the production floor.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Maintenance, Planning, and other departments to resolve issues and support smooth production flow.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for non-conformances.
  • Promote and enforce a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Logistics, or a related field preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment, preferably within the nutraceutical, food, or pharmaceutical industries.
  • Solid knowledge of cGMP, FDA regulations, and safety standards.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a diverse production team.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts and adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
